Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry

We continue to run our online services on Sunday mornings, online Alpha, online connect group and have our pastoral support team that are in contact with all partners. We plan on taking our first steps to having people in the building by opening two small groups (no more than 15 people in each group) which will start on the week commencing Sunday 2nd August. Friday Prayer

On Friday mornings a small group of dedicated prayer warriors come together to pray for any needs the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts. At the moment we pray mostly in the “upper room” but when the downstairs prayer/counselling/ministry lounge is completed we hope to use this so that we can intercede without being interrupted.

Anyone from the Gatehouse Church who feels led can join us.

Prayer Ministry Team

This ministry is newly established and consists of nine members. We had our first meeting at our home on Monday, 16th December, 2019, to discuss and sign the requirements and conditions of being a part of the team. We then enjoyed fellowship over refreshments.

The aim of the team is to support and help the members of our congregation after services, who have experienced conviction from the Holy Spirit, from the preaching of the Word of God. Also others who have an upcoming event such as a hospital appointment/admission, a job interview, a family difficulty etc. that they would like prayer for.

We aim to attend some free teaching events once every two months at Ellel Grange in Lancaster. The first one being on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020 of which eight of the team attended. We are also going to organise some in-house training evenings on aspects of prayer ministry, which will be arranged in the not too distant future.
