Global Missions – Steph Walker

Global Missions – Steph Walker

During this morning’s service Steph Walker shared about her exciting new adventure and journey. She will be moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand as a teacher and serving with Sim International (Serving In Mission), a missions organisation that works with missions across the world to reach people, to meet their needs and to share the love of God. She will be teaching at Grace International School who work with missionary families and aid workers in Thailand. She will not be receiving any pay or wage as she will be working with missionary families.

Steph spent four years with her parents, Neville & Kay Walker when they were missionaries in Cambodia and went to a missionary school called Hope. She says that without a school such as Hope it would not have been possible for her parents to do the work. There are many missionary families fulfilling the calling of God in their lives. She believes that by teaching the children at a missionary school it will allow their parents to reach the lost, meet the needs of the broken and to ultimately share God’s love.

Since the age of fifteen God has called her to teach abroad. She believes He has given her the abilities and the gifting to educate and to nurture children and now is the right time for her to fulfill this calling.

Steph is passionate about children and their education. She believes they are the future and they can be world changers.

There are two main ways that people can partner with her. The first being financial giving. This can be by way of a one-off donation or a monthly donation, whatever amount will be greatly appreciated.

The second way is to pray and become a prayer partner. If you would like to receive regular prayer updates and newsletters via email please go to the web link below. If you do pray there are a couple of prayer requests right now:

Please pray that arrangements for the move will run smoothly during this time of global pandemic and that visa and innoculation arrangements will move in God’s timing.

For I know that the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
