In John chapter 9 we see Jesus again declaring Himself to be the Light of the World. In this chapter we see the progressive revelation that the blind beggar has til he comes to the point of bowing the knee and worshipping Jesus.
We see that Jesus is the only way to be saved.

When Lazurus came forth out the tomb, he was alive, but was wrapped in death clothes, and Jesus commanded that they be taken off which is a mirror image of somebody putting their life in Christ and still being wrapped up in stuff which Jesus tells us now to remove.

This is a challenging message for Christians. In light of God’s compassion for us are we willing to allow God to move us with compassion, overcome our prejudice and then look out for the opportunities to demonstrate His love. Compassion will transform the world around us.
